Zones & modules

Zones and modules are how Flybits content lands inside an app you already have. A zone is a named place in your product; a module is what renders there, ordered by prioritization rules rather than by hard-coded layout.

Zones and modules are how Flybits content appears inside an app you already have: a zone is a named place in your product, a module renders what lands there, and prioritization decides the order when several items qualify.

WHAT IT DOES
Zones as named placements
A zone is declared once in the app and referenced by every experience that wants to appear there. Authors target placements without engineering involvement, and engineers keep control of where placements exist.
Modules as renderers
Modules define how content in a zone is presented — carousel, list, single card, or a custom layout — and can be configured per zone rather than per experience.
Content prioritization
When several eligible items compete for the same zone, display criteria and prioritization rules decide the order, so the most relevant item leads instead of the most recent.
Custom modules
Where the standard set does not fit, the module editor supports custom layouts and code, with preview, so a bespoke placement stays inside the same targeting and prioritization model.
IN DETAIL
Zones are declared by engineering once and then targeted by authors, so placements stay under app-team control.
Modules cover the common presentations — list, carousel, single card — and can be configured per zone.
Content prioritization and display criteria resolve competition inside a zone so the most relevant item leads.
The module editor supports custom modules with their own layout and code, previewed before release.
Labels group content across zones, which is what makes prioritization rules readable.
