Our mandate

Our collaborators are tasked with exploring the possibilities of data science and prototyping tools with foresight into possible future applications. We are not tied to any business vertical. Instead, we seek to understand the full impact of data & AI and help organizations innovate by embracing technological change.

Labs as a service

Flybits Lab as a Service offers a unique solution for companies who are looking to drive change and innovation, but aren’t exactly sure where to start or need to ensure they are on the right path. Flybits Lab as a Service provides the expertise, processes, and technology required to deliver impactful innovation programs and products. By acting as your dedicated innovation agency, our team of AI and data science experts, designers, engineers and strategists collaborates with you to prioritize opportunities, develop hypotheses and iteratively build and test ideas. By leveraging the latest advancements in emerging technology such as data science and AI, our team ensures your organization stays at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting edge solutions to new and existing customer markets.

Data security & privacy

We believe people should own their data and control how it’s used. We focus on learning and evolving the best ways to build secure, privacy-preserving products as well as advocate for protecting individuals in this data-rich era.

New emerging technologies

Our team is at the cutting edge of new developments in reality capture, spatial and immersive experiences. We believe that combining groundbreaking new emerging technologies from different domains is key to creating and curating next-generation customer experiences.

Open Dome as an extended reality

Virtual reality, augmented reality and extended reality present value-creative opportunities for rethinking and reframing customer and user experience, and are a core part of the future of the internet. Open Dome is where our team builds fully secure and cross-platform experiences for physical and extended reality.

Perspective Aware Computing (PAC) & digital twin technology

We are developing AI with perspective and context capabilities. Our goal is to enable the creation of digital twins owned and controlled by individuals; these would be used to assist them in their daily lives or help ensure they can leave a digital legacy that can continue to interact with their loved ones and share their knowledge.

General applications for PACs

We imagine digital twins can be used in any number of ways to gain insights and enable interactions; imagine if you could engage with a trusted expert for advice or guidance, or ask a friend for recommendations to be overlaid in AR while you’re visiting a new city.

Brain Dome: An example application of PACs

Sharing or gaining access to a person’s digital twin could broaden our own perspectives when engaging with content. The Brain Dome was designed to explore how the user could ask digital twins for insights based on chosen topics.

HRVR

A digital twin does not have to represent a person. It can also represent a physical space. We are exploring how digital twins of physical spaces can enable harnessing the full potential of data integrations. Our aim is to create virtual environments that are enriched with relevant, contextualized data. Our virtual office space increases collaboration and improves emotional connectedness in our teams.

Working towards creating a vibrant data ecosystem

We see enormous potential in creating privacy-preserved and transparent data ecosystem that enables the unification of industries, communities and governments to better serve their constituents. We believe organizations of the future will increasingly be assessed by their ability to deliver and curate cross-industry experiences.

Coming Soon - Prototyping the future of digital art

Partnerships among cross-disciplinary thinkers, experts and artists show how data connections and spatial technologies can help bring people together, enabling unprecedented interactivity, inclusion and accessibility.

Transforming art into a digital space

Creating and expanding fully immersive installations incur environmental costs. Shifting to digital space allows artists to create on any scale without sustainability concerns. Art should be more interactive as it challenges its viewer to think and react and data platforms play a key role in helping people understand and make connections between themselves and the artworks.

AI - Artist’s voice

By bringing AI, contextual computing and artists together, we are developing digital twins of artists that can use data about the context of the viewer to modulate responses to questions, say in responding to a child versus as an art historian.

Accessibility in VR/AR spaces

There are currently no accessibility standards in the VR/XR space. We’re focused on developing, identifying and sharing best practices and contributing to the elaboration of standards beyond those laid out for 2D digital spaces.
