Flybit’s is thrilled to announce that our CEO Hossein Rahnama was invited to give a talk at TEDx in Boston about the experimental work he’s doing in AI.

Hossein Rahnama is shaping the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on our lives. As a Professor at both the prestigious MIT Media Lab and Toronto Metropolitan University, he’s at the forefront of cutting-edge research, exploring how humans and AI can work together to create a better world. 

At its core, Flybits provides a scalable data integration framework that allows financial institutions to extract, trigger, and deliver one-of-a-kind personalized experiences to their users. At Flybits Labs, we have a different mandate. We’re on a mission to push the boundaries of data science and AI. The Lab is not focused on specific industries, but rather on understanding the full potential of this technology and empowering organizations to innovate.

Data as the Fuel, AI as the Engine: We believe data is the new asset class, trust is the new currency, and AI is the new economy. Our programs aim to translate curiosity and insights into actionable knowledge of the future. 

Introducing Perspective Aware Computing (PAC): Hossein’s talk primarily focused on this Perspective and contextual AI we’re developing. Imagine personal digital twins, controlled by individuals, that assist people in daily life or create digital legacies to interact with loved ones and share knowledge.

PAC Applications – Endless Possibilities: These digital twins can be used in countless ways. You could interact with them through a browser, app, smart home interface, holograms or even robots. Imagine consulting a trusted expert for advice, or getting location-based recommendations overlaid on your AR display while visiting a new city.

Sharing or gaining access to a person’s digital twin could broaden our perspectives when engaging with content. The Brain dome example Hossein showed is an exploration in how people could ask digital twins for insights based on chosen topics. 

The lab is also exploring in new technologies that are allowing people to quickly clone physical spaces for 3D environments. Within our Open Dome VR/AR environments we are creating a way for people to have data integration from their existing tools and resources into a virtual office space. This example explores how using a data-rich environment can enhance collaboration and emotional connection within our team.
